I joined the Company as a Senior Underwriter and then took on the role of Protection Underwriting Team Manager in July 2006, which I have held to date.
I like the challenge of working for a fast-moving, growing company that is determined to maximise the opportunities available to it in the market place for the benefit of its customers and staff alike. I also like working with the people, who are a really great bunch!
There was a time when the future of the Protection product line was in question, so it was decided to change the focus and redefine our proposition to the market. The outcome of this was the High Mortality Case project (HMC) which resulted in us becoming the niche provider of life assurance for severely impaired lives that we are today. It was a privilege to be part of the underwriting team that helped to make this happen and extremely gratifying to be in a position to be able to provide life cover for those who really need it.
