Underwriting
Underwriting assess the medical details of an individual and decide on a life expectancy. This allows Partnership to generate bespoke terms for their customers based on their health.
All Partnership’s products are aimed at providing financial solutions to those in ill health. To allow us to offer acceptable terms to these people an assessment of their health is carried out and a decision on their life expectancy is made. Through considerable experience, use of manuals and medical tables and the knowledge of the Chief Medical Officers, this is achieved.
To work within this department you need to have a CII Diploma in Medical Underwriting
This consists of 3 modules from the Advanced Diploma in Insurance:
- Life and Disability Underwriting (It is a necessity to be studying for or have passed this course to underwrite with Partnership)
- Company and Contract Law
- Life Assurance
At Partnership we have the largest Underwriting team in all annuity providers with more years experience than any of our competitors combined. In total our Underwriting team boasts 275 years over all areas.
