Partnership appoints Boyd as corporate affairs director

Partnership, one of the UK’s leading specialist providers of financial solutions for people living with medical conditions and the UK’s market leading provider of long term care annuities, has appointed Jim Boyd to the role of Director of Corporate Affairs.

Boyd’s appointment will help Partnership continue to grow its offering in the important retirement, protection and care markets. He will initially work with Chris Horlick, Managing Director of its newly formed Care Division to help Partnership develop the care market.

Boyd joins from the Go-Ahead Group plc, one of the UK’s major public transport providers, where he has spent over five years as Group Corporate Affairs Director. He was previously Head of Corporate Affairs at Britannic Retirement Solutions where he helped to develop and run successful campaigns to raise awareness of the Open Market Option and to regulate reversionary equity release. He also helped launch Just Retirement. Boyd was previously a tax and trusts lawyer, having trained at Clifford Chance, the City law firm.

Jim Boyd, said: “I am excited to be joining Partnership and returning to the retirement sector. Britain is undergoing a profound demographic transformation with more people over 65 years of age than under 16. As the premier provider of financial products for people living with health conditions, Partnership will play an important role providing retirement and care solutions for the UK’s ageing population.”

Steve Groves, Chief Executive, said “This appointment marks another significant recruitment for Partnership. In the last year we have appointed one of the strongest teams in our sector to continue to develop what is already the most comprehensive offering in the retirement market. At a time when public funding is under considerable strain and our ageing population continues to grow, Partnership is well placed to help people make the most of their assets in retirement.”
