The premiums that life insurance companies charge for many of their products differ between men and women. Where those products pay out an income, this will also be different for men and women. Partnership believes that this is a fair way to price our products because it reflects the difference in expected claims experience for these products.

To help illustrate this you can look at data published by the Continuous Mortality Investigation (CMI), which shows evidence of the different claims patterns between genders for the relevant insurance products based on the experience of UK insurance companies.
