We were delighted to meet so many of you at the Partnership Later Life Symposium, which took place last week at venues across the country, starting at Rudding Park in Harrogate on 20th October and finishing at Walton Hall, Warwickshire on 23rd October.
We were delighted that all the events were so well attended and it highlights the fact that so many Financial Advisers are concerned about the changing demography of the UK and the potential impact this may have on future financial planning needs.
The Partnership Later Life Symposium – with input from expert commentators – examined the impact of changing demographics on the financial needs of individuals, and considered how financial advisers could adapt their businesses to ensure their future clients needs are met.
Colette Dunn, Head of the Strategy Group at Watson Wyatt started the morning with a study of how rapidly UK demographics are changing, highlighting the expanding need for later life financial planning.
Our guest speakers – Andrew Neil in Harrogate, Robert Peston in London and Warwick – outlined the economic backdrop against which these demographic changes are taking place and the issues facing successive governments.
Steve Groves, CEO, Partnership then considered what all of these factors mean for the financial services industry and, in particular, the challenges faced by product providers and financial advisers.
We hope those of you who attended found it an informative and interesting morning, to read presentations, the FT Adviser article, and to watch the video's click on the images below.
